Chris Wood has been practicing bodywork since 2003, working with infants, children, and adults. He sees life as an athletic event and has helped people with digestive disturbances, migraines, chronic pain, frozen shoulder, accident recovery and pre/post surgery. A love of working with his hands and a desire to help people led him to study bodywork in Oregon.
Chris’ work with people is guided by the idea that our bodies have the ability to find balance and heal when the barriers to health have been removed. He uses gentle and specific manual manipulations to help restore motion where it has been lost, elasticity to the tissues and bring deep relaxation throughout your body. This allows your body the space it needs to circulate fluids with ease and self regulate, which can lead to an increased vitality.
He has extensive training including: CranialSacral, Visceral Manipulation, Myofascial, Connective Tissue, Neural Manipulation and Muscle Energy Techniques. Chris’ hope is to help you become more at ease in your body allowing for relief from pain and faster recovery from injuries.
Every session is unique to the person. The work during the session can be done fully clothed. Please wear loose fitting comfortable clothing such as sweat pants or shorts and a tee-shirt.
When he is not studying anatomy you can find Chris hiking with his wife, flying airplanes, watching birds, studying martial arts, playing outside and making stuff.
